A Matrix '''room''' is a structure used to store, retrieve and separate [[Event|events]], and is generally used as "channels", or [[Space|spaces]], but it can be used more generically.

Internally, a room is essentially two things:
* A room graph, storing the "history" of the room
* The room [[State|state]], deduced from the graph itself with a [[State#Resolution|state resolution]] algorithm, and that stores metadata about the room itself.
